SMS Weld Oscillator
SMS have developed a Weld Oscillator System suitable for use in welding applications where the electrode requires to oscillate back and forth with varying amplitude, frequency and waveform. The system is servo controlled meaning reliability and repeatability and programming is easy using our own software with easy setup. Additional oscillators can be added with ease and each oscillator can be synchronised to a master or act independently.
The oscillator can be programmed to decelerate into and accelerate out of the end points at higher speed so that the “dwell” is minimised. This can be very valuable in reducing overheating or over depositing material at the edges.
