A business that would deliver 21st century automation solutions and products to a lagging UK market. While the name has reduced in size the business has grown to a very capable automation engineering business with accolades from industry leaders. Gordon continues to play an executive role in business and staff development and is always ready to bring in the latest technologies where we can find a benefit for our customers.

Chris Watson

Director - Chris oversees the throughput of engineering, support and workshop and plays an active role in project development work and direction. With expertise in control engineering and project management Chris keeps our engineering pipeline running.

Neil Cooley

Senior Automation Engineer - With 20 years service Neil performs and orchestrates a large amount of our offsite and development work with the help of the engineering and workshop teams. Neil is a key piece of the SMS Machine Automation team.

Engineering Team

Our team consists of a number of highly skilled engineers with diverse skillsets, able to manage all manner of tasks that arise during the development and application of complex motion control projects. Expect nothing but the best.

Workshop Team

Our workshop team consists of a number of skilled mechanical, electrical and pneumatic experts. With access to the latest technology in 3D printing, in-house CNC machining and technology training from our partners; the workshop team perform all of our manufacture and support the engineering team in service applications.

Sales and Marketing Team

Supporting customers directly with technical issues and providing engineering and direct component sales functions, our expert team provide great one-to-one service delivering parts from all of our product partners. They're also responsible for our website, social media and video output.

Office / Accounts Manager - Keeping check on all things accounts and financial, Bethan managages the team who run our busy office that deals with all the in's and out's and manage our stock and material portfolio.
